Operation: Consume The Bird

I hope everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving. I am thankful that I have such a blessed life, good family and friends, and good health for everyone.

On a note, to people who are against G-d in government speeches and some other things- sometimes it's not about religion, it's about TRADITION. From Washington to Lincoln (less Jefferson and others) our forefathers gave Thanksgiving speeches saying we should bless G-d and all that He does for us. This tradition has been going on since Lincoln, although references to G-d have decreased greatly- 19 times from Lincoln in 1863 to 4 times in W's speech in 2005. Bush isn't the only ones who did this, Kennedy did this, Clinton did this, etc. So to people who are insanely uptight about political correctness- keep in mind it is tradition, not necessarily religious.

Have a happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.
95% of all Americans celebrate Christmas regardless of religious beliefs. Why must we sacrifice our traditions for the other 5%? And probably the majority of that 5% doesn't care either way. I certainly don't mind seeing happy Hanukkah displayed from store windows. It's funny how in a democracy the majority so often doesn't rule.

american crusader:

absolutely. it seems now that in protecting the rights of the minority, we really eliminate the rights of the majority and instill limitations on them as well. being Jewish, i will say that i really don't care seeing Christmas trees, hearing Christmas music (although i work in retail so after 6 hrs of repetition it gets to me).

thanks for posting. i hope you have a Merry Christmas, although i'll wait to give an official holiday post.
